Last night something strange happened to me. I was comfortably settled in bed, tweaking the design of my website yet again. I was really enjoying it—I love how Carrd works, and I’m a big fan of my current minimalist site. That’s why I’m always trying to redo it. 😄
Suddenly, I noticed a small, flickering dark spot on my wall. At first, I thought it was a little moth, but no—it was a huge, but surprisingly not-scary fly. I tried to shoo it away because it kept landing on me, on my laptop, basically trying to "help" in its own way.
Everyone else in the house was already asleep, so it was just me and the fly—me working on my website, and the fly frantically flying around the room, repeatedly trying to land on my keyboard.
What was weird, though, was this feeling of someone else’s presence in the room... coming from the fly. It was so unexpected. Like, when a wasp flies in, you’re afraid it’ll sting you, and when a fly is annoying, you just want to get rid of it. But instead, I thought, "Well, I’ve got some great company tonight!"
Eventually, I finished messing with my site, but I still couldn’t manage to get the fly out through the window, and it kept buzzing around the room until I fell asleep.
In the morning, I found the fly dead on the floor. It flew into my room to die.
